We were without power for over 12 hours!

This is certainly NOT camping weather . . .
I haven’t trudged down to the lake yet, but I did walk around the upper level of the campground, in amongst the campsites, to capture these pics

    We had an ice storm here too. However we only got about 2 -3 inches of snow and then it turned to sleet and rain. It froze over night but we quickly thawed in the morning when the sun came shining through. That was Tuesday…..Wednesday we had a powerful rain storm that brought rain up from FLA. where the tornadoes were. We had flooding throughout the area. Your pictures are beautiful. Ice and snow are always pretty on trees and things…but driving in it is another thing.

    Boy, you guys will be getting out of school real late this year! How will that effect the camping season?? We have had 2 snow days….I believe we are getting out June 23rd.

    I love the way the sun shines through the iced trees. All day, we had that effect, and i kept going outside to take more pics.

    As it stands now, we’ll be getting out June 20th, I believe. We’ve had school a couple days more than those around us though. I should check with Paula and see how many days they’ve been out up Augusta way.

    Yes, it cuts into business because families don’t usually begin camping until maybe a week after the kids are out. They won’t miss the 4th of July week though . . . we’re guaranteed to begin then.
